| Frequently Asked Questions |
-
What are the age requirements?
You must be at least 18 year of old to skydive. For legal reasons, there are no exceptions to this rule, even with parental consent.
-
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing and sneakers work best - no sandals or boots. T-shirts and shorts work good in the summertime, and in the winter layering works well.
-
Is there a weight limit?
Yes. Weight limits are based upon the reserve canopy's maximum wing loading, a value calculated by comparing the student's weight to the square footage of the reserve parachute. For safety reasons, this wing loading value must not exceed the manufacturer's recommendations for that parachute. Our weight limit is 220lbs for tandem students and 250lbs for static line students.
-
How long will it take?
It takes about 2-4 hours to complete ground school and make your first jump, however, this can vary depending on class size, weather, and other factors. Please plan on being with us at least half the day.
-
How high do you jump from?
Our typical jump altitude is 10,500 feet. You’ll spend about 40-50 seconds in freefall, then a peaceful canopy ride lasting approximately three to five minutes.
-
How fast do you fall?
You will fall around 120 miles per hour.
-
What if the weather looks iffy?
Please give us a call at 432-563-JUMP to check on our weather conditions before you leave your house.
-
What do I need to bring?
A valid drivers license or other government-issued photo ID that verifies your age. Wear comfortable clothing and a pair of sneakers.
